How Can I Evaluate And Measure Crporate, Brand And Store Image?

I have a project. My topic is “Benetton’s strategies for image formation”. I already have some info. But any of you guys can help me a lot. I am sure that when you hear the word “image” something comes to your mind. Tell me what, is it a colour, or a sound or the logo or culture or anything else. If you have wider knowledge about image, I would appreciate it if you share it with me.I also wanna ask about the factors that form image. Do you know any mthods or ways about image evaluation and measuring? What influences image formation? And what are image components and which one is the most importaint one in your oppinion. I know you guys will help me. Thank you in advance.

it all comes down to brand recognition ie for example…
MMM..good, red label –cambells soup
green gecko, caveman– geico car ins
golden arches, Ronald Mc–Mc D’s
golden gate bridge–San Francisco
one final example… this may sound cheesy and it is, there is an local furniture store called downers in Pekin IL. their slogan is “where you always get an free onion” yea i do admit it is corney, but if you ask anyone in the Peoria/Pekin area where you go to get an free onion the will tell you downers furinture. there name is out there, they have brand awarness.
Just sit down and watch an hour of tv some big brand name recognitions are sure to come up
in my mind an good measure is how quickly people recognize the brand simply by an logo, spokesman, company ideals or slogan
there are 2 big things to look at:
1) an logo, spokesman, jingle….
2) the image that it portays in your mind, (you want it to be your business!)
