Homework Help: Liquidating Other Companies’ Inventory That Is Financed By Your Company?
1 Comment | Posted by Brand McNaut in Brand Strategies
Turn on your marketing brains! My professor asked us to imagine that we are loan company. We have given loans to car dealerships to buy inventory. Now, we want to run a marketing campaign to help the dealers liquidate these cars so that they can repay their loans. What kind of strategies can we use to sell JUST the cars that have been financed by us? So, if a dealer sells Toyotas and Hondas, and we gave them a loan to buy their Toyota inventory, then we only care about liquidating the Toyotas. The catch is that we cannot use our company name because the end consumer doesn’t care who the inventory was financed by…so it has to be a generic tactic that will draw attention to just the Toyotas in the lot. Legally, we also cannot run a sale using the Toyota brand.

advertisement of liquor and tobacco products is banned in india, but companies still advertise their brand name by launching other products like
-kingfisher mineral water by kingfisher
- royal challenge golf accessories
-smirn off cassettes and cds
so i want to know do they really earn profit by advertising these products in prime time on all big challenge or is this just a marketing strategy to advertise their main line products.

What Is Co-branding? Is Co-branding Possible Wnen One Of The Parts Is A Small Company And The Other A Big One?
1 Comment | Posted by Brand McNaut in Brand Management
Of course. Co-branding is all about selling the name. If you are a small company and you want to brand the big company’s name because it’ll help you establish the big name establishment behind your product.
Or if you are a small company and you want to put your name on a Big Company’s product that will be another way to get your name recognized out there….because if the product is good then they will recommend it…etc.

Were going to be targeting Non-Profit Organizations as well as medium to small sized private companies. We are hoping for a sleek/fun brand image – and will be offering social media marketing, physical ads (ie. commercials, print etc) and electronic (web design) as well as marketing strategies.
Thought of the following: Flux, 3Fresh, Fly Agency, Fly Group, Pie Marketing, Pie Group, Sync and TempO

A Company Logo Is Branding, Therefore Could A Logo Be Considered Contact Information For A Company/product?
0 Comments | Posted by Brand McNaut in Brand Management
I beg to differ.
A company logo is not in and of itself BRANDING. Branding is the “promise” that the marketer makes to its customer. That promise is supposed to be delivered upon consistently, each and every time.
One of the best examples of BRANDING is Starbucks Coffee. Every time you see advertising for Starbucks Coffee it has the same look and feel to it. This look and feel captures the essence of who Starbucks Coffee is. And it doesn’t matter which Starbucks Coffee location you visit, in which city of the country, because you always expect the same “customer experience.” THAT is branding – delivering upon the expectation that you, the marketer, promise your customer.
A logo is PART of a brand. It should capture the essence of who the company is and what they do. But a logo is not contact information. CONTACT INFORMATION should tell the customer how to reach you. A logo seldom does that. A logo might tell a customer what the sign looks like outside your business, but it won’t tell them how to find you.
Contact Information is traditionally relegated to Web sites and the like. Some product packaging may tell the consumer how to get a hold of the company if they have a comment or a concern about the product, but it is never part of the company logo.
Hope this helps.
